Diving Courses

THE SCHOOL OF DIVING MOJACAR base their system of learning on the standards of the most important organizations of diving in the world (PADI and NASE) Giving diving courses at all the levels, from initiation in this sport until you will be able to work professionally. The school of diving relies on a team of professionals that will help you acquire the knowledge necessary to be able to enjoy this wonderful sport in a sure way. Our method of education is based on achievable aims, so that when you finish your course you will be able to do all the exercises by yourself. During the course the exercises are repeated often and always you will be accompanied by experienced instructors. Now we are going to detail each of the programs of education.

 

INTRODUCTION TO DIVING FOR CHILDREN - BUBBLEMAKER -

The Bubblemaker program introduces diving as an activity that allows children to get to know the underwater world using self-contained equipment. Under the supervision of our professionals, the participants will swim equipped with scuba gear in confined, shallow waters to play and so to familiarize themselves with the use of the equipment. Once the children are confident enough our instructors will accompany them in a submarine walk along a deeper zone, a maximum of 2 metres. The participants obtain a certificate and a card that will make this experience unforgettable.
 

ADVENTURES OF DIVING FOR CHILDREN - SEAL TEAM -
The program Seal Team offers the children the opportunity of swimming underwater and to experience the adventure with enterteining experiences. It provides the parents or tutors a program that allows their children to develop skills, to learn on the subaquatic world, and especially to have fun in a safe way.

How do I become a SEAL TEAM member????

To become an official member of the PADI Seal Team children must complete the first 5 Aqua Missions of the 15 that are planned for them. These activities have the aim to develop the basic ideas in the practice and the knowledge of diving in order to prepare children to adventure farther into the submarine world. Children have full support throughout, with educational videos, the PADI Seal Team book of activities in Aqua-Missions and our full briefing before diving with our professional Instructors.
Every Aqua-Mission starts in a briefing, then a game or an activity which ends up in a full immersion in a swimming pool. They must answer the questions or challenges of their Aqua-Mission Logbooks. At the end of the Aqua-Mission, children win a sticker in their logbook. Thus, learning whilst playing, provides them with the necessary ease and prepares them for the time of the first immersion, in quiet waters, in the Open Water Course for Adults. To reward them of their efforts children receive an attestation as member of the PADI Seal Team and a diploma.
 

PRUEBA DE BUCEO - DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING -

With this program, our qualified instructors will guide you through the marvellous submarine world without necessity of having previous diving experience. Our Instructors will teach you what you have to do to breathe under water, how to master the pressure valve and how to act to fully take advantage of this unforgettable experience. You will have your first experiences in swimming pool, and afterward in opened sea, diving to a depth of 12m, to familiarize you and to gain confidence so that then, you can really enjoy yourselves in the sea. If the customer wants to pursue their training in diving, this first experience gives them the confidence and makes up part of the initiation courses to introduce them to being a Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver.
 

CURSO DE INICIACIÓN AL BUCEO - OPEN WATER DIVER (OWD) -

The course for OPEN WATER DIVER is one week long It is the most popular course in the diving world, since once getting this title, you can dive as much as you want to and in any part of the world. It is par excellence in the level of initiation since the lower levels don't permit you to dive alone. The course is based on three main parts:
  • Theoretical: : In this set of five modules, you will learn the influential physical laws of under water (pressure, temperature, etc.) and how you should behave under water.
  • Swimming pool: Again 5 modules: Here you will learn the use of all the diving equipment and will do exercises in the basics that will permit you to propel yourself under water.
  • Open sea: Now we have four immersion modules to put into practice all the teaching in the swimming pool, by increasing the depth little by little you will become confident and at ease with yourself and your equipment.
During this course, you will be fully monitored and our professional instructors will supervise you in an individual manner during your exercises whilst making your training fun.
    Conditions required for the OWD:
  • To be 12 years old
  • Official Medical certificate
  • Three photographs
  • To know how to swim
    Courses of Open Water Diver include:
  • The use of all the diving material
  • Theoretical and practical courses
  • Necessary educational material
  • Medical insurance
  • Fees of the various Exams
  • The enrolment to the club
If the student does not complete all the modules of the course Open Water Diver, they receive the certification Scuba Diver that will allow them to dive, although always accompanied of an instructor who overlooks their security until such time as he/she completes the modules that it needs.

 

CURSO AVANZADO DE BUCEO -ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER(AOWD)-

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is considered as a continuation of the course for ‘Open Water Diver’ This course provides you with advanced training and techniques. You can follow straight on from the OWD course if you wish. This course allow you to realize more complicated dives, To dive deeper, to dive at night etc... Here you can develop your skill to become an " Advanced Diver ".
The course consists of 5 specialities, two obligatory:- Orientation Underwater and Deep Diving and three optional ones that you can choose from:

  • Wreck diving
  • Deep diving

    The Requirements for this course are:

CURSO BUCEADOR DE RESCATE -RESCUE DIVER-

RESCUE DIVER ; In the previous courses you will have learned all the necessary techniques to enjoy the underwater world in a safe and enjoyable way. In this course you will progress to a much higher level as you will learn the different skills to be able to help other people with problems and therefore to be able to help yourself if you are in danger.
It is a very important step in your training as a diver. Unfortunately, problems do happen when least expect them and you must always be ready to react to any situation.
    The requirements for the course are:
  • To have achieved a higher level of diving
  • Two photographs
  • Medical certificate
  • A minimum of 20 dives.
  • Certification of First Aid
    The Rescue Diver Course is based on two parts:
  • Theory: Where you will learn about the problems that appear and how to solve them.
  • Practice: Where you will practise the resolution of these problems in different scenarios.

 

-Emergency First Response -CPR-FIRST AID-

With this course, you learn the minimum necessary to give help while waiting for a doctor to arrive. We are not doctors. Can you imagine if there is an accident and when you manage to get the person out of the water, you do not know what to do? What we have helped them out of the water if now we can do nothing? With this course, we will learn the techniques to help a person who has problems, in the water and out of it.
You can do this course together with the rescue diver.
This is a course for everybody, divers and non divers alike, who want to learn the latest techniques and manoeuvres of the first aid and CPR, to be able to help anybody in any situation if it is necessary.
 

Superior level of Recreational Diving---MASTER SCUBA DIVER----

The Master Scuba Diver is the most elevated level of the recreational diving in the PADI program and demonstrate an expertise and superior knowledge in recreational diving. Once you have 50 certified dives Finished the course Advanced Open Water The lifesaving course The first aid and at least 5 specialities courses, you are authorized to obtain the degree as a Master Scuba Diver It is the preliminary jump to becoming a professional diver. You can consult our Courses for professionals.

 

You can take any of our courses, either in Madrid or in Mojacar, which ever is more convenient for you. You can choose from numerous timetables and dates. Once your course has ended, you will form part of our club and will have the possibility to go on diving with us both in Mojacar and on the numerous trips that we organize in Spain and abroad.
